“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31
Midweek often finds us weary—physically, mentally, and sometimes spiritually. The demands of life press in, and our strength feels spent. But the promise of God is not that the burden disappears—it is that our strength is renewed.
Notice where that renewal is found: not in rest alone, not in better circumstances, but in waiting upon the LORD. To wait on Him is to look to Him, depend on Him, and quietly trust that He will sustain you.
If your soul feels tired today, do not merely push through--look up. The same God who carried you at the beginning of the week will carry you through the end of it.
Wait on Him today, and you will find that your strength is not gone—it is being supplied.
